Monthly Calculation of Services and Charges

Monthly Calculation of Services and Transmission Charges (AMSE) involves the calculation of revenue amounts to be paid to transmission service providers (utilities transmission and ONS) and the Transmission System Usage Charges (EUST) and Sectional to be charged for each user of the basic network and border network.

The process of AMSE considers all parameters needed for the calculations of revenues (Allowed Annual Revenue, Previous cycles Adjustment Portion, among others), charges (tariffs, contracted demands and generation) as well as all the variables involved (Variable Portion due the unavailability of facilities, Financial Additional due to Exceeding Demand, New Agents; Modulated Budget of ONS; New Revenue Works). AMSE ended the year with 148 transmission utilities and 431 users, with 427 permanent and four temporary.

The total transmission sector revenue reached 10.481 billion reais in the year. Of this amount, the biggest part - 10.178 billion reais - refers to revenues for the use of transmission (of which about 92.14% are for the facilities of the basic network and the rest of the border network). The difference in a corresponding value to about 303 million, refers to revenue from industry charges. The variable portion due to the unavailability of facilities (PV) corresponded to a discount of about one hundred forty eight million reais in the year representing 1.59% of the total revenue of transmission facilities.
