Risk Management and Grid Procedures Management

Risk management and the management of the Grid Procedures involve activities which goal is to continuously improve the processes carried out by the ONS, in order to make them safer and more efficient while preserving the requirements of transparency and equity.

With regard to managing the Grid Procedures in 2013, the review process and routing of new versions of 143 submodules was completed, revised throughout 2012 and early 2013, with the participation of agents and associations. Such new versions will be subject to a public hearing to be held by ANEEL in 2014 for its future entry into force.

Regarding the Process Management and Risk from the guidelines of the ONS Strategic Planning, process modeling and analyzes aimed at improvements and reduction of vulnerabilities in several finalistics and business processes were held in 2013. It is worth highlighting the analysis of the following processes: Consolidation of electric load forecasting by busbar; Electroenergetical daily schedule; Training and human resource development; Accounting, Budget, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and taxes and incidental statements; Mode of Plant Operation; Procurement of Goods, Materials and Contracting services with the support of a purchasing portal; Reviews of reservoirs filling.

The external audit of the input data of the PMO and its revisions was continued, and this audit has also covered the data on streamflow forecasting as determined by ANEEL. Was also given continuity The external audit of data collected by CNOS used by CCEE and the eletroenergetic planning processes were also given continuity, having been issued by the auditing company the Assurance Reports on all months of the reporting period, showing the adequacy of the procedures performed.

Based on the results obtained from the analysis of internal improvement opportunities and existing controls in their processes, the ONS has been making regular and systematic monitoring of its exposure, enabling a more effective preventive action.
