In 2013, the total number of Agents Associated with the ONS came to 340 (number 6% higher than the previous year, 321 agents), demonstrating the increasing responsibility of the Operator as manager of facilities and institutions involved in the operation of the network and the increase in the BIPS complexity of the processes conducted in this activity. To level associates these agents about the activities developed, the ONS held four meetings in 2013 ONS Technical / agents, two in Recife (11/12 June and 26/27 November) and two in Florianópolis (June 28 and 28 November).
On that year 816 Release Terms for entry into operation of transmission facilities, and 407 Statements of Attendance to the requirements of the Grid Procedures for generation facilities were issued. We also performed the classification of the mode of operation of 440 plants, 109 of which are classified as Type I, 57 as type II-B and 274 as Type III.
It was implemented the new capture/integration process, aiming at a more efficient approach to the agents whose works are included in the 36 month ahead horizon. Support material for the agents was created as brochures, presentations and more detailed primer on the process. Developed actions involved both cores and Regional Centres, as for the technical areas of ONS and with the participation of new agents, who were integrating the electricity sector, and also agents already part of the sector, who were integrating new facilities to the BIPS .
Throughout 2013 8 meetings of uptake/integration with these new agents have been conducted. In addition, a meeting was held at ABRACE - Brazilian Association of Large Industrial Consumers and Free Consumers, on June 7, 2013.
