The main highlights of the 2013 integration of the transmission system of Belo Monte to BIPS activities were:

• Analysis of reports R1: Part I - Technical and Economic Analysis of Alternatives, and Part II - Details of the Recommended Alternative, having checked the folding of this system in studies of PAR.
• Participation, throughout 2013, in the development of engineering studies related to the R2 report - detailing of the Alternative Reference, technical discussions with manufacturers of HVDC as well as in proposing requirements that reflect the interests of the Operator.
• Preparation of the Technical Annex of the Call bid, submitted to ANEEL in October 2013 and at the public hearing AP 144/2013, which aimed to get an insight into potential entrepreneurs and manufacturers on the requirements included in the Technical Annex of Belo Monte. The Technical Annex was released on December 27, an unpublished work in the country, because the voltage of 800 kV dc was only adopted in China and India until then.
