Highlights of the year

  1. 1.The Grid Procedures of ONS receive the permanent approval of ANEEL, by Normative Resolution nº 372/09 of 08.05.2009.

  2. 2.The continuity of energy supply in the BIPS is maintained.

  3. 3.The operation of the power grid is conducted in accordance with the continuity, reliability and quality of supply criteria established in the Grid Procedures.

  4. 4. A methodology for calculation of energy safety indicators is developed, based on references such as the Target Level, the Minimum Safety Level, the Risk Aversion Curve and the Critical Operation Curve.

  5. 5.The Special Protection and Control System which commands the simultaneous shutdown of generating units at Itaipu 60Hz and Tucuruí power plants is deployed and allows increasing the energy interchange to the Southeast region by 700 MWmed.

  6. 6.The contract with Siemens-Cepel Consortium for the design and implementation of ONS Energy Management Grid – REGER is signed.

  7. 7.The isolated Systems in the states of Acre and Rondonia are interconnected to the BIPS and the studies for the interconnection of the Tucuruí-Manaus system continue.

  8. 8.The works indicated in the 2010-2012 PAR represent an addition of 20,450 km of transmission lines to the Main Transmission Grid with forecasted investments of the order of R$ 16 billion.

  9. 9.The settlement of transmission services and charges totalized an annual amount of R$ 10.5 billion.

  10. 10.Actions are promoted to improve internal integration, through important initiatives in human resources management such as: the Recognition Program, the Recognize + Award and the Career Trajectories project.
