In 2014, the number of Agents Associated with ONS reached 362 (6.5% higher than the previous year, 340 agents), demonstrating the increasing complexity of the operator processes and its growing responsibility as Network Manager institutions and facilities involved in the BIPS operation.

That year 958 Terms of Release to entry into operation of transmission facilities, and 654 Declarations of Compliance with the Network Procedures Requirements for generating facilities were issued.

Concerning the total of DAPRs issued there was an increase of about 62% in comparison to the figures recorded in 2013. This high percentage is justified by the considerable expansion of the national wind farm, particularly in the Northeastern region, which in 2014 represented about 90 % of the installed capacity of wind farms versus 10% in the South in the same year. The terms of release of transmission facilities grew by 17% in the biennium 2013/2014.

In 2014 the implementation process and operation of the new New Facilities Integration System (SINI) have continued, which was designed to support the monitoring of activities provided in the latest version of the module 24 of Network Procedures. This new version comes in addition to the generation and transmission facilities, other facilities, such as Reservoir, Importers / Exporters, Distributors and Free Consumers. During the year, working groups that defined, planned and configured processes related to Generation, Transmission, Distributors and Free Consumers in the new tool were formed.

During that year the documents relating to some of ONS`s technical processes were made available in the Data Registry for External Relations (CDRE). Groups were also created to send announcements and invitations to meetings of these technical processes. Thus, in 2014 there was a considerable increase in registration requests and update external user data.

Thereby, in 2014, the CDRE was solidified as a reference for extracting lists used for sending announcements and convocations. It was used for the call to the General Assembly for all communications made by the Operator at the World Cup, in Registration Data Update Campaign between subscriber of ONS products, and for the convocation and dissemination of technical processes.
